Talked with a girl who works for a big call center nearby. The call center is for a big company that sells extended warranties on cell phones for several of the major brands of cell phones. She says they cover every type of phone except for the T-mobile phones. I don’t know why T-Mobile is excluded or what makes them undesirable.

She says that every time her phone rings it is a cell phone customer who wants to file a claim for a damaged or broken cell phone. It is her job to find out what happened and decide if the breakage is covered under their warranty or not. She says that more than half of the claims get rejected because of water damage, which is not covered.

I was surprised to find out the the most common reason a cell phone quits working is because it gets dropped into a toilet. That is a disgusting thought to me, but evidently a whole lot of people think it is important to have their cell phone with them while they use the toilet.

My employer held our annual Christmas party at Buffalo’s Hot Wings last night, it was a gas and a good time was had by all, at least everyone was by the time I left, which was right before the “Last Call” was announced. They didn’t make us exchange gifts this year, no secret Santa or names being drawn, and they didn’t make us sing this year, nothing, but last night was a good way for the company that I have worked at for over 6 years now, to show their appreciation for all of the hard work that they have loaded upon us recently and all of the cuts that have been placed upon us this past several months.

The food is always good there, it is our favorite choice of restaurants for events such as this and the beer is reasonably priced and always cold and the service is excellent, they all know us there from years of celebrations in the past and they know that the tip is well worth the extra effort.

Hopefully no one got pulled over on the way home, there were several people that I was a bit concerned about their ability to get behind the wheel, but I was assured by other co workers that they had their backs covered and I can only hope that everything went smoothly for all concerned after the point of my departure to my nice warm home and straight to bed.

What a bummer of a way to start the month of December, the month that the holidays are freaking everybody out and money (or should I say the lack of) is the “Hot Topic” right now and is on every one’s mind world wide, I received my Personal Property Tax Bill in the mail today, a $127 unexpected debt that I had forgotten about.

I am going to call the City and see what mileage would qualify for their “High Mileage Allowance” that I might possibly be eligible for, considering the high amount of miles that I have personally piled onto my 1994 Honda Accord, much less the miles that were put on her with previous owners, I just may receive some type of discount and any discount will be welcomed at this point. Man am I tired of having to worry about my finances, even working a part time job isn’t seeming to help in putting a dent in the dollar amount that I have managed to put myself in debt to.

I am however intending on staying on after the Christmas Holiday Shopping season is over with, if the company will have me, it seems it may take longer than I thought to climb out of the money pit that I am drowning in right now. I would hate to have to consider filing for bankruptcy, possible a debt consolidation would be an avenue to consider, will have to process that thought for a bit.
